House #1 (Whitehouse TX) Client: “Is that the outside?” Pointing to the visible light shining through the exterior wall. Me: hmmm… let’s open this door and see. Yep, that’s the outside.
House #2 (Tyler, TX) Client “So the front door doesn’t lock?” As I’m opening the hasp that is bolted to the front door. Me: Looks like the handle was removed, so they’re using this padlock to secure it.
House #3 (Tyler, TX) Client “I like Cats too” as we step inside a completely vacant property, clearly the previous homeowner had cats. Me: Check out the light switch, it has whiskers.
House #4 (Tyler, TX) Client: Could someone be sleeping in the attic? Me: Let me put this key back and we’ll go check out the next one.
House #5 (Tyler, TX) Client: “I love this one, is the 3rd bedroom the laundry room?” Me: That’s a really good question, because that is the bedroom or the lanai room with a closet might be what they’re considering a 3rd bedroom.
House #6 (Tyler, TX) Client: “This is better than I expected, but I really love the house next door” Me: The house next door is the same price and larger, we just need to figure out the 3rd bedroom situation.
That sums up my property tours today. Tomorrow we’ll check out some more and maybe end up putting an offer on House #5.
